Pilot
The "Pilot" episode - which kicked off the series on Wednesday, Oct. 9 - had several scenes re-shot, most particularly those involving Dr. Harleen Quinzel as Mia Sara had replaced Sherilyn Fenn in the role.

A description states the following:

"When a young girl named Dinah Lance heads to New Gotham in search of a better life, she encounters Helena Kyle, also known as Huntress. In hopes that she could explain what she is, Diah uses her powers to infiltrate a secret facility used by Huntress and Barbara Gordon, who was once Batgirl. But what they don’t know is that Harley Quinn, former lover of the Joker, is planning on putting the Organised back in New Gothams crime."

The premiere episode of The WB's Birds of Prey series will simply be called "Pilot."

The episode's villain is Ketterly (Chris Ellis).

Birds of Prey is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 9 p.m. (ET).

Smallville's first episode was also called "Pilot." Like Smallville's premiere, Bird of Prey's will be 70 minutes.

From ComicsContinuum:

In other Birds of Prey news, The WB has released a new version of "Pilot" to the media.

The biggest difference from the new version to the one released last summer is Mia Sara replacing Sherilyn Fenn as Dr. Harleen Quinzel, who appears in scenes with Helena Kyle and shows her bad side at the end of the episode.

The episode opens with narration by Alfred, who is played by Ian Abercrombie. Other differences include footage of Batman and Catwoman (which has been shown in commercials for the show) and a scene with Barbara at New Gotham High, where she teaches.
